Effective training builds relationships and encourages reflection. It is responsive to the needs of adult learners, founded in strong content, informed by current research and clinical evidence, engaging, interactive, inspiring, informative and useful. Training is most likely to impact practice when it is reinforced with on site support or via ongoing in-person or distance learning opportunities Relationships established in training workshops can provide models for effective workplace relationships. When training participants experience safe, supportive, respectful and responsive relationships, this helps them recognize how relationships can powerfully support learning and growth. This recognition a helps participants develop the skills to create such relationships with colleagues and families.
